After days of wandering around the streets of Tokyo, picking up basic Japanese skills, and beginning to decipher the enigma that is the Tokyo train system, I have survived my first month in Japan.
Honestly, I wished to update more frequently, but after arriving I realized I needed to get my bearings before I could sit down and write what I wanted.
For family who has not had the chance to talk to me yet, I would like to say that I am having the time of my life. Every day there is a moment where I sit back and think “wow I’m in Japan” as cheesy as that sounds. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and even as a journalism major, I can’t find the proper words to describe how happy I am.
I’m going to post some pictures for now, but soon I will write more detailed posts about my travels and experiences so far.
